Local Mission

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.”    Matthew 25:35-36

Jail Ministry

The Jail Ministry from Crosswater regularly leads Bible studies and other faith based activities at the St. John’s County Jail in St. Augustine in both the women’s and men’s centers.  Currently, we lead studies in the men’s units on the first Sunday of the month and the women’s units meet on Monday and Wednesday mornings, and Saturday afternoons. We are always looking for more people to help lead studies, counsel inmates, pray or just go as support.  It is truly a powerful opportunity to share the Word of God with people that need to be reminded of God’s amazing grace and transformative powxer.  If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Jeffrey Harry (for men) or JoAnn Dekrell (for women) and they will get you the appropriate forms that need to be filled out.

If you have a heart for service and would like to get involved.

 City Rescue Mission

City Rescue Mission has been serving the homeless and needy in Northeast Florida since 1946.

The original vision of offering “soup, soap and salvation” to alcoholics has evolved into a privately funded nonprofit organization whose mission is to rebuild the lives of the homeless and needy through life building programs and the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.

Emergency Pregnancy Services

Pregnancy can be a difficult and scary time.

It is important to know that you are not alone with decisions that will impact your future. Our trained counselors will support you, providing referrals and guidance to help empower you to make fact-based decisions. Knowledge is power. The more you know, the easier it is to make the best possible choices for you and your baby.

CareFest offers Community Service opportunities year round. See the project list and contact JoAnn Dekrell for more information.
