Meet the Pastors
Pastor Peter Mattioli, Students & NEXTGEN
Angela and I have been serving in full-time ministry since 2011, with a heart for students, families, and the local church. Over the years, we’ve served as Student Pastors, Associate Pastors, and Connection Pastors in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Tennessee — but living in Florida has always been our dream. It’s truly our happy place!
We have four beautiful children — Landon, Nina, Mia, and our son Anthony, who is now in heaven. We lost Anthony when he was just six years old, and that heartbreaking journey has deepened our love for Jesus and our passion for family. We treasure every moment of family time and hold tightly to the hope that we will see Anthony again one day.
Although our title says “Next Gen,” we believe kids and students are the Now Generation. God has called them to lead, love, and live out their purpose today — not someday.
Our passion is helping students grow in their faith, discover their God-given purpose, and lead with a servant’s heart. We follow a student-led, servant-minded approach to ministry because we believe the best way for students to own their faith is by learning to lead and prefer others — just like Jesus did.
Our services are designed to help students encounter God every time we gather, while also developing their unique strengths so they can change the world for Christ — before the world changes them.
We’re big fans of warm weather, palm trees, Disney, Universal, and just about anything outdoors. We're also a sports-loving family: I’m a proud Wisconsin sports mega fan (Go Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers!) and we also root for the Gators and Jaguars (our AFC team!). Angela is a former soccer and basketball star who still manages to beat me at just about everything — which isn’t fair, but it keeps me humble!
When we’re not doing ministry, you’ll find us at the beach, the movies, playing sports, or just soaking up time together as a family — making memories and holding onto the joy we’ve found in Christ.

Pastor Hutson Woods, Students
Hutson Woods serves as the Student Pastor over Middle School Connect and Student Worship, where he is passionate about helping students encounter Jesus in a real and life-changing way. He believes the middle and high school years are a crucial time to build a strong foundation of faith, and he loves creating authentic spaces where students feel seen, valued, and equipped to live out their calling.
Hutson and his wife, Cheyenne, a nurse with a heart for serving, began their ministry journey together in 2021. Originally from Tennessee, they are proud parents to Kirby (4) and Eva (2). Their family shares a strong calling to invest in the next generation, pointing students toward the hope and love found only in Christ.
