How it all started...
In 2008, 70 people gathered under the existing Cross tower for the first worship service. The Lord blessed the original congregation with a beautiful facility and property in a then up and coming community called Nocatee. The Lord gave the original founding Pastor, Jack Millwood, with a vision of families coming to worship the Lord at Crosswater.
It didn't take long for that vision to be realized as the church quickly began to grow. Around ten years after that initial service, the church was running a full three services each Sunday in the present-day Student Center. In June of 2020, the church finished construction of it's existing worship center that continues to be used for worship and ministry week after week.

Where we are today...
Today, Crosswater is a thriving and growing church that exists to empower families and individuals to live their purpose in Christ. Our strong emphasis on families is seen in the services and ministries that that we offer for all age groups. Our children and student ministries strive to provide a Biblical foundation and Christian worldview to young people.
We partner with parents and adults by providing the resources and tools to grow our faith and raise our families in the ways of the Lord. Finally, we provide opportunities of fellowship and discipleship to retirees, grandparents, and senior adults. Regardless of age, we seek to preach the Gospel and make disciples of Jesus.

Where we are headed...
As Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, we believe the Lord has a bright plan and future for His church at Crosswater. We believe those plans include four specific points of growth: Encountering God in worship, Embracing Others in community, Engaging all people in service, and Expanding the Kingdom of Heaven through Missions and Outreach. Our focus is to grow and expand in these four ways.
