Children’s Ministry

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  Matthew 19:14

What to Expect on Sunday Mornings…

Nursery – Crosswater offers nursery services for 6 weeks of age through 2 ½ years of age during all services on Sunday mornings.  Our nursery volunteers have been background checked and trained to make sure your child is safe and well cared for during their stay with us.  The nursery is located on the first floor of our Administration and Education building.

WEE-J.A.M. for Preschoolers – Crosswater offers a preschool worship service during all Sunday morning services.  We call our pre-k worship service WEE J.A.M. (Jesus and Me).  Wee Jam is comprised of high energy songs, an age appropriate lesson, videos, games, and more.  After Wee JAM children enjoy a snack (usually goldfish or pretzels, but a gluten free snack is available), coloring, and some structured play time.  For more information on WEE J.A.M., please feel free to contact our Sunday Morning Preschool Director:

Margaret Furnas:

Powerhouse – Powerhouse is our Sunday morning children’s program for 5 year olds through 5th grade.  Sunday morning Powerhouse includes children’s worship, age appropriate Bible studies, games, and much more.  Powerhouse is offered at all 3 services.  The Powerhouse is located in the upstairs of our Administration and Education building.  Enter through the door that says “Grade School” and one of our friendly greeters will help you get registered and show you where your children will be dropped off.

Xtreme Kidz at Crosswater is a proud ministry partner of Upward Sports.  For over 20 years, Upward sports has been offering faith based recreational leagues that help children to improve their athletic skills and grow in God’s amazing grace.  Crosswater currently offers Upwards Soccer (traditionally in the fall), Upward Flag Football (traditionally in the Spring) and Upward Cheer (traditionally in the Spring).  We also offer winter leagues that vary from year to year, so continue to check our website for more information on these.  For more information regarding Upward Sports, please visit their web page.
